Arrange root hair cell, inner cortical layer cell of root and a mesophyll cell in ascending order of their water potential

Water potential is the free energy of water in a unit volume of solution. It is more in root hair, medium in inner cortical cell of root and very less in mesophyll cell. Water moves from a region of higher water potential to a region of lower water potential. Hence water movement in plants is from root hairs to mesophyll cell via inner cortical cell of roots.
