Detailed Solution

The Mughals campaigned constantly and launched attacks against rulers who wouldn’t accept them as the ultimate authority. For example, Akbar fought against Suris, Gondwana, and Malwa until he seized Chittor and Ranthambore. Many rulers like Rajputs, however, accepted the Mughals and bowed to the power they exercised. Most Rajput princesses were married into Mughal families and the Rajputs, in turn, benefitted from high positions. For instance, Jahangir’s mother was a Kachhwaha princess, and Shah Jahan’s mother was a Rathor princess. The Sisodiya Rajputs of Mewar had refused to accept Mughal authority for a long time. However, when they joined the Mughals, they were rewarded with lands and treated honourably. So the Mughals did not force other rulers to join them.
Hence the statement is false.
