We need to find the change in angle of elevation when the observer moves towards the object.
Use the trigonometric ratio tanθ=  Perpendicular   Base   .
The relation between the angle of elevation, the height of object and the distance of observer from the base of the object is given by tanθ=  height of object   Distance of observer from the base of the object    As the observer moves closer to the object, the distance between the observer and the base of object decreases which results in the increase of the value of tangent of angle of elevation. Since the tangent function is an increasing function between 0 °   and 90 °  , so the value of the angle of elevation increases when the observer moves closer to the object because the value of the tangent function increases.
The angle of elevation increases if the observes moves closer to the object.
