Detailed Solution
In India, almost the entire rainfall is brought in by the advancing southwest monsoon and retreating monsoons. Winds from the southwest monsoons bring heavy rainfall to India. These winds bring rain toward the end of the summer because of the high pressure created in the Indian Ocean. When they arrive in India, they divide into two branches. The Western Ghats of Kerala, a coastal state in India, are where the Arabian Sea Branch of the Southwest Monsoon enters the country, making this area the first to receive rainfall from the monsoon. This monsoon branch is moving to the west and north. The Bay of Bengal's southwestern monsoon branch enters northeast India. When the southwest monsoon starts to retreat, the season of retreating monsoons begins. The southeast coast of India experiences heavy rainfall, as well as tropical cyclones, during the retreating monsoon season. It is also called the northeast monsoon. So, the assertion is true. Heavy rainfall makes the soil more fertile and provides a necessary amount of water for cultivation, which explains why vegetation is dense when there is heavy rainfall. Compared to areas with less rainfall, heavy rainfall regions have dense vegetation. So, the reason is false. Therefore (A) is right, but (R) is wrong.
