Detailed Solution

There were rumours in the countryside that the landlords of the manor had hired criminals. People spread this rumour and said that these criminals are hired to destroy the crop production of the people. This rumour was spread from village to village that these criminals were spoiling the ripe crops from the farms, and the lords of the manor hired these criminals.
Peasants became afraid due to this. They started seizing hoes and pitchforks. They also started attacking chateaux. Chateaux were the castles of the noblemen. They started destroying them. The peasants also burned manorial documents in response to this rumour. Due to this destruction and their losses, these nobles went away from their homes and shifted to neighbouring countries to protect themselves from these peasants.
