Chlorella follows C3 pathway only and sugar cane is a C4 plant.  Sugarcane requires 12 ATP extra for fixation of one glucose molecule as compared to C3 plant ( 18 ATP in bundle sheath cell for calvin cycle and 12 ATP in mesophyll cell for regeneration of PEP). So total number of ATP required for formation of one hexose in C3 plants is 18 and in C4 plants 30.
