In July 1830, France saw the first political upheaval in Europe. Following the conservative reaction in 1815, the Bourbon kings were restored to power. But they were now deposed by the liberal revolutionaries of July 1830, who founded a constitutional monarchy commanded by Louis Philippe. The July Revolution prompted an uprising in Brussels, which was the reason for the departure of Belgium from the union Netherlands and the United Kingdom.
In the year 1789, the French Revolution took place. Through political and constitutional changes, the French Revolution culminated in the transfer of authority from the king to a group of French citizens. Furthermore, the Revolution declared that the people would form the nation and decide its fate from that point on.
