Several changes were made during the 1905 Revolution of Russia. One such change was that Tsar Nicholas II dismissed the first Duma within 75 days, and the second Duma was re-elected within three months of the dismissal.
The Liberals and Revolutionaries dominated the First and the Second Duma, demanding major reforms and repeatedly questioning the Tsar’s decisions. The Tsar did not want anybody to compromise his authority by questioning his decisions. So the Second Duma was also dismissed, and the Third Duma was formed along with changes in voting rights.
