In Africa, there is a nation called Zimbabwe. It had been under the rule of whites before it attained its independence in 1980, not 1990. The liberation movement had led by the Zimbabwe African National Union-Patriotic Front (ZANU-PF). The ruling party in Zimbabwe has been ZANU-PF since independence. The party's leader is Robert Mugabe, who has always won elections and remained president of Zimbabwe till 2017. But over time, he started using unfair means to win elections and even harassed the opposition parties. As a result, popular movements were led against him and ended with his displacement from office in 2017.
