Detailed Solution

In 1916, Gandhiji went to Champaran in Bihar to organise the workers to revolt against the severe plantation system. Then in 1917, he coordinated a Satyagraha to help the labourers of the Kheda region of Gujarat.
Impacted by crop disappointment and a plague pandemic, the peasants of Kheda could not pay the income and requested to reduce the land tariffs. In 1918, Mahatma Gandhi also went to Ahmedabad to form a satyagraha movement against the landlords among cotton plant labourers.
Option 1 is correct. Both A and R are true, and R is the correct explanation of A because Mahatma Gandhi effectively coordinated satyagraha developments in different spots after showing up in India.
