Detailed Solution

The assertion is true, but the Reason is false. Karl Marx was a political philosopher of Germany and an economist who is credited as the founder of communism. Marx believed that different stages of history had specific modes of production, which was the foundation of any Social or political order of that society.
History had been moving in a specific direction, and its last stage would be the utopia of communism. There would be no exploitation and equality in such a society as private property would be banned. He believed that capitalism had fatal problems inherent in it, eventually leading to its downfall, and communism would emerge in its place.
