The conductivity of the conductor decreases with the increase in temperature because when the temperature is increased, the kinetic energy of the electrons in the element increases, increasing the movement of the electrons as a whole which opposes the flow of the electrons, and the conductivity decreases. Resistivity is the reciprocal of conductivity; hence, resistance increases when the temperature increases.
