Detailed Solution

At present, the total number of Lok Sabha constituencies in India is 543.
For Lok Sabha elections, the nation has diverged into numerous constituencies for the smooth conduct of elections. Recently, there have been 543 Lok Sabha members in India, each of which elects one member. Members of the Lok Sabha are elected directly by eligible voters (those 18 years of age or older). Constituencies are divided by population. Also, the President of India can nominate a maximum of two members as representatives of the Anglo-Indian community in the Lok Sabha. In addition, some seats are reserved in the Lok Sabha for the members of the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes to represent these backward sections.
