Detailed Solution

Atrial natriuretic factor is secreted by right atrium.

Atrial natriuretic factor (ANF), also known as atrial natriuretic peptide (ANP), is indeed secreted by the atria of the heart, including both the right atrium and the left atrium. It is a vasodilator that plays a vital role in the regulation of blood pressure and fluid balance within the body.

ANF is released by cardiac muscle cells in response to increased stretching of the atrial walls, typically due to an increase in blood volume or pressure. It acts to counteract the actions of other hormones that increase blood pressure and fluid retention. ANF promotes vasodilation (widening of blood vessels) and increases the excretion of sodium and water by the kidneys, leading to reduced blood volume and decreased blood pressure.
