Detailed Solution

Aurangzeb died in 1707. He was the sixth Mughal emperor to rule the Indian subcontinent. He surpassed towers in terms of riches as India became the world's largest economy and manufacturing force under his reign. He was well-known for his religious beliefs. He implemented the Jizya tax, a military levy on non-Muslims; discriminatory taxation on Hindu merchants at 5% as compared to Muslim merchants at 2.5%; and other Islamic moral regulations. He destroyed Indian temples and murdered his elder brother, Dara Shikoh, Maratha ruler Sambhaji, and Sikh Guru Teg Bahadur.
