Baba Ramchandra fought against the injustices disbursed by landlords in the 1920s and 1930s. Baba Ramchandra had been to Fiji, an island nation within the Pacific as an Associate in Nursing bound working man. In India, the Non-Cooperation movement unfolded from cities to the country. The struggles of tribals and peasants were drawn into the realm of the Non-cooperation movement. Ramchandra organised the peasant movement in Awadh. The peasant movement demanded to boycott oppressive landlords socially, get rid of begar, and a reduction of revenue. The Panchayats organised the nai-dhobi bandhs in several places to deprive the services of washermen and barbers. In 1920, politicians tried to know the grievances of the villagers in Awadh by reprimanding them. As a result, a brand new sabha was established in October 1920 by Baba Ramchandra called the Oudh Kisan Sabha.
