Detailed Solution

There are two types of cleavages take place in diborane. Symmetrical cleavage of diborane forms covalent compound whereas unsymmetrical cleavage of diborane forms ionic compound.

Reaction of ammonia with diborane is:

B2H6+2NH3[H2B(NH3)2]+[BN4]-

Above reactions shows that diborane cleaves unsymmetrically when it reacts with ammonia. Diborane also cleaves unsymmetrical when small amines reacted with it and symmetrical cleavage of diborane take place when diborane reacts with higher amines.

As all the given compounds are the example of small amines, therefore no compound results in the symmetrical cleavage of diborane.
