Detailed Solution

 In the given reaction,
BaC l 2 (aq)+N a 2 S O 4 (aq)BaS O 4 (s)+2NaCl(aq)

The barium ion displaces the sodium ion and forms barium sulphate and the sodium ion displaces the barium ion and forms sodium chloride. So, the reaction shows a double displacement phenomenon. As the barium sulphate is formed in solid form as a precipitate. So, it is a precipitation reaction too.

A displacement reaction is a chemical reaction in which a more reactive element removes a less reactive element from its aqueous salt solution. This can also be said as a substitution reaction.
When two or more reactants combine to produce a single product, it is called a combination reaction.
