Bacillus thuringiensis is the source of Cry proteins that are of various diversity. These proteins are active against many insects belonging to different orders. Ti plasmid(modified) is isolated from Agrobacterium and used as cloning vector for delivery of genes of our interest into a variety of plants. Thermostable DNA polymerase is isolated from Thermus aquaticus. It is widely used in PCR. Ligase is an enzyme which is used to join the cut ends of nucleotide sequences.
