Detailed Solution

In Integrated Pest Management strategy, Bacillus thuringiensis (Bt) contain the endospore (or crystal) toxins that are genetically incorporated in the crops and give resistant to pests. Crops having Bt toxin are called genetically modified plants. Examples of Bt crops are cotton, tobacco, corn and potato.
Bt crops carrying Cry toxins are corn and cotton. This protein is toxic to certain insect orders like Lepidoptera, Coleoptera, Hymenoptera, Diptera, and Nematoda. Cry toxins are formed during sporulations and form crystals in some Bt strains.
