Detailed Solution

Bahadur Shah Zafar was exiled to Burma by the British.
Bahadur Shah Zafar, the last Mughal emperor, was made the leader of the 1857 Revolt by the rebel forces, which he unwillingly accepted. After the British suppressed the 1857 uprising, he was tried and banished to Burma (Myanmar) with his family. He had a gift for poetry and was deeply devout in his final years.
