Barium chloride on reacting with ammonium sulphate forms barium sulphate and ammonium chloride is double displacement reaction and precipitation reaction.
The chemical reaction is given below.
BaCl2(aq) + (NH4)SO4(aq)   BaSO4(s)   +2NH4Cl
In this reaction displacement of ion occurs, barium ions of barium chloride and sulphate ion of ammonium sulfate combines and it forms precipitates of barium sulphate and ammonium ion combines with with chloride ion and it forms ammonium chloride (NH4Cl). Sp displacement of ions occurs and precipitation reaction is also included above reaction is a double displacement reaction.
