Battle of Plassey took place in 1757.
The Battle of Plassey was fought between the Nawab of Bengal and the Britishers on June 23, 1757. Siraj ud-Daula became the Nawab of Bengal in 1756 after his grandfather Alivardi Khan. The Siraj ud-Daula reacted to the fortification and settlement of the Britishers, which was not allowed without permission. Siraj seized the English Factory at Kasimbazar, where Fort William surrendered, but Robert Clive went against the seizure of the English Factory. The Battle of Plassey was fought between Siraj ud Daula and Robert Clive with their army on June 23, 1757.
