Detailed Solution

Bengali is said to have been derived from Sanskrit. The Sanskrit language is often assumed to have been Bengali's mother tongue. However, early Sanskrit literature indicates that Bengali people did not speak Sanskrit. In the fourth to third centuries BC, Bengal and Magadh established trading links. As a result, Sanskrit's influence grew in Bengal. In the fourth century, the Gupta Empire seized direct control of north Bengal, and Brahmans began to move there. As a result, Bengal became more susceptible to the Sanskrit language's impact. In the seventh century, Xuan Zang recognised that Bengali and Sanskrit are quite similar languages. As a result, we can conclude that the Sanskrit language had a substantial influence on the Bengali language.
