Detailed Solution

Besides Hindi, there are 22 other languages recognised as Scheduled Language by the constitution.
The Indian Constitution's Eighth Schedule lists 22 languages acknowledged as planned dialects and granted status and power. Furthermore, Kannada, Malayalam, Odia, Sanskrit, Tamil, and Telugu have the distinction of an old-style language by the Indian government. Dialects with a long history and a free spirit are accorded the status of traditional languages. However, questions have been raised about using Hindi in South India, particularly in Tamil Nadu and Karnataka. Punjab, Assam, West Bengal, Maharashtra, and other non-Hindi-speaking regions have also started to express concerns about Hindi.
