Detailed Solution

Between Rabi and Kharif seasons, a short season during the summer months is known as Zaid cropping season. There are three cropping seasons in India, namely Rabi, Kharif, and Zaid. Rabi cropping season takes place in the winter months and is known as winter crops, while Kharif season takes place in monsoon months and is called monsoon crops. The short period between these two seasons is called the Zaid cropping season, which takes place in the summer months of March and June. As they grow in summer, they are dependent on irrigational facilities for their growth. Some of the Zaid crops are watermelon, cucumber, muskmelon, etc.
