Big boulders or stone circles on the ground were used for burials during the prehistoric period. Since remains were discovered during excavation, stone circles were used to mark the precise location of the graves. Megaliths or big boulders were used to identify grave sites. All funeral sites shared a few characteristics. Iron tools, weapons, horse skeletons, horse equipment, and ornaments made of stone and gold were also discovered.
