Detailed Solution

Birsa Munda belonged to Chhotanagpur. As the demand for the lands started to increase, the need for more woods was increasingly in high demand. This led to the random use of the forest and the cutting of trees. There suddenly became a reckless use of the woods as a result of which the British Masters had issued the Acts; these Acts prohibited the use of lands by the indigenous people residing in that area. So the tribals and local people living in that area, to whom the forest and the land were like home, were being prevented. These led to a lot of local as well as tribal uprisings in the areas. There came a time when the oppression meted out on these tribals so much that this led to the mass uprising in the Chota Nagpur area. Birsa Munda led the rebellion in the Chota Nagpur area.
