Detailed Solution

The above statement is true;
The year 1904 was exceptionally harsh for Russian labourers. The significant rise in the cost of necessities resulted in a 20% drop in real wages. When four members of the Russian Workers' Assembly were sacked, the workers became outraged. In January 1905, Father Gapon led a large group of nonviolent workers to St. Petersburg's Winter Palace to deliver a petition to the Tsar. The workers were assaulted by the police. Over 300 workers were hurt, and over 100 were murdered. Because the incident occurred on a Sunday, it is known as "Bloody Sunday." As a result of public pressure, the Tzar was forced to submit his manifesto, which spurred the formation of the Duma.
