Detailed Solution

Bouncing back of light from shining surfaces is called reflection.
“When a ray of light approaches a smooth polished surface, it bounces back. This phenomenon is called the reflection of light.” Most of the things we see are because light from a source has reflected off them. As an example, if you observe a hen, light has reflected off that hen and travelled in almost all directions. If some of that light enters our eyes, it hits the retina at the back of our eyes.
