Detailed Solution

British merchants engage Farmers from the countryside to produce textiles for the market. They did so to make textiles for the markets. They could not be involved with the town's craftsmen, merchants, producers, or tailors to make textiles because trade guilds at these places were so strong that without their permission, it was tough to make any new product and or to enter any new trader. So to escape this situation and monopoly of trade guilds, British merchants found it suitable to engage with the farmers. They tend to train the farmers in textile making and production.
