Detailed Solution

Concept- Now we will use the formula of cost price and selling price with gain and loss percentage to solve this given problem . make sure that percentage of gain should be added to  100 whereas the percentage of loss is subtracted from 100.
Selling price of Rs. 45 is Rs.40 .
He losses 26% .Now we will find the C.P. of 45 lemons by this formula :
C.P.=S.P×100100-LOSS%
C.P=45×100100-20=45×10080=50
Cost price of 45 lemons = Rs. 50
Now S.P of 45 lemons with 20% gain
S.P.=C.P×100+gain%100
 S.P.=50×100+20200=50+120100=60
Selling  price of 45 lemon with 20% Rs. 60.
Now S.P.1 lemon=6045=43
Let the no. of lemon be x
Now no.of lemon he sells at 24=43×x=24
x=24×34
x=18
Hence, the correct option is 1.
