Detailed Solution

According to the Hindu Succession Amendment of 2005, sons, daughters and their mothers get an equal share of family property.
In rural India, most of the property is inherited by the male family members from their family's male ancestors. According to the new law, female family members have an equal share of the family property. They have their share of the property on which they can depend for independence. This law provided that all persons should be treated equally in society, irrespective of gender. Such amendments or acts help create an environment where women are given equal opportunities and the same resources.
