Candidates for elections are chosen in a way that they belong to different castes and religion to address the majority of the population.
 

The right to vote extends to all citizens, regardless of their socio-economic identity. Decision-making has to include and represent all citizens of a nation. This is why political parties and elected governments must ensure adequate representation of all groups. That is the essence of a democracy.
