Detailed Solution

The above  mentioned statement is true.
Aryabhatta was an astronomer in Chandragupta II's court.
Aryabhatta was an astronomer and mathematician who lived under Chandragupta II's rule in the Gupta era (375–415 C.E.). He was born in Pataliputra or Kusumpura, the modern-day Bihar city of Patna. He proceeded to study at Nalanda, a renowned university at the time and was a Hindu and Buddhist by faith. He created the quadratic theorem, ratios and proportions, and compound interest, among other things, and provided the geometric value of pie. His most well-known work, Aryabhata, is a fifth-century Sanskrit text on astronomy and mathematics that discusses themes including arithmetic and the algebraic table of sins. He was the one who introduced the digit 0 to the world.
