Tea and coffee are the major beverages of India.
Most Indians used to consume these beverages for ages because of the available geographical conditions, which favor their cultivation at a large scale, and even some of the Indian teas and coffees have a great international market. Even before independence, tea was a beverage of India and was introduced by the Britishers only. But these two beverages are very different from each other regarding their cultivation. For instance, tea cultivation requires deep and fertile soil as it is a tropical and sub-tropical crop, and it also needs a moist free atmosphere throughout its cultivation. In contrast, loamy soil needs a temperate climate when it comes to coffee.
