Ferredoxin and FNR (ferredoxin-NADP+ reductase) are involved in electron transport during photosynthesis, but they are not directly involved in chemiosmosis. Chemiosmosis requires a proton pump and proton gradient across a membrane, which drives the synthesis of ATP by the CF₀-CF₁ complex in chloroplasts or the ATP synthase in mitochondria.
