Detailed Solution

The chief architect of the unification of Germany was Otto von Bismarck.
Many political organisations made up of middle-class professionals, entrepreneurs, and wealthy artisans attempted to combine the several regions of Germany into a nation-state ruled by an elected parliament in 1848. With the support of the Prussian landowners, the combined forces of the monarchy and the army suppressed this attempt. Otto von Bismarck, the head of state of Prussia, took over as the movement's leader, and he was the one who sparked the unification of Germany. Between 1860 to 1890, he was a Prussian statesman who ruled German affairs. He implemented Blood-Iron's policy to fulfil nationalist ambitions.
