Detailed Solution

Child Labour Prevention Act was most recently amended in 2016.
The Indian Constitution has defined the prohibition of child labour as a fundamental right. This means that children under 14 years could not be coerced to work in hazardous industries such as coal mines, pesticide industries, etc. To further strengthen this provision, the Child Labour (Prohibition and Regulation) Act was passed in 1986. The 1986 Act has been amended from time to time to include evolved provisions. This law prohibits a child from being employed in all occupations, and a child between the ages of 14 and 18 is prohibited from working in hazardous industries.
