Detailed Solution

Chinese traveller Xuan Zang observed that languages related to Sanskrit were used all over Bengal.
Xuan Zang, a Chinese traveller, observed that Sanskrit-related languages were in use throughout Bengal in the seventh century. This resulted from growing commercial ties between Bengal and Magadha in the fourth and third centuries BCE, as well as the growing influence of Sanskrit. During the fourth century, the Gupta rulers established political control over North Bengal and began to settle Brahmanas in the region. As a result, the mid-Ganga valley's linguistic and cultural influence grew stronger. Although Bengali has roots in Sanskrit, it has evolved through several stages.
