Detailed Solution

Chinese traveller who visited Harshvardhan’s court is Xuan Zang. Xuan Zang, also known as Hieun Tsang, was a 7th-century Chinese Buddhist monk, traveller, scholar, translator, and historian. He came to learn more about Buddhism and collect information about life and the teachings of Buddha to convert them into religious texts. He came through the silk road after surviving the dangerous Taklamakan desert and the harsh mountains of Tienshan. He spent seventeen years in India of which five were spent at Nalanda University. He visited during the reign of King Harsh Vardhan from 606 to 647 C.E. He was also known as the prince of pilgrims.
