Alluri Sitaram Raju was a great follower of Gandhiji. He was an admirer of Gandhi and was influenced by the Non-cooperation movement and urged people to wear khadi and give up consumption of alcohol. But to the contrary, he believed in liberation through force and denied the idea of non-violence in the liberation of India. Alluri Sitaram led the protest against the British government in the Gudem hills of Andhra Pradesh. The British executed Alluri Sitaram Raju on the 7th of May 1924.
