Guiseppe Mazzini founded Young Italy in Marseilles and Berne. Mazzini was against monarchical rule and always stood for freedom and liberty. This was the reason he founded Young Italy in Marseilles and in Berne, to involve the youth in revolutionary activities. He also set up the model of secret societies in other countries like Germany, France and Poland besides the part of Italy.
