In the 20th century, Kulaks did not favour the Collectivisation Programme of Russia. Kulaks were Rich peasants in Russia. After 1917, Kulaks held much land in the country. But During the time of Stalin's Government, the Collectivisation programme was introduced, and all the Kulaks' land was taken away to modernise the farmland and create large state-controlled farms. The introduction of collective farming in Russia led to elimination of the Kulaks. And all were forced to do collective farming, and those who resisted the programme were punished, deported and sent to exile by the Government.
