Kunwar Singh gave a fierce fight against the British at the age of 80. The Revolt of 1857 in Bihar was mostly orchestrated by Kunwar Singh, a disgruntled and bankrupt zamindar of the state of Bihar. He bravely and valiantly fought the British for several months in Bihar. He was a member of the Maharaja Zamindar family of the Parmar Rajput Ujjainiya clan of Jagdispur, which is now a part of the Bhojpur district of Bihar. During the 1857 Revolt, Kunwar Singh served as a military leader. Even at the age of 80, Singh continued to attack the British; his bravery was unmatched. He went by the name Veer Kunwar Singh.
