Detailed Solution

The above statement is true.
Hind Swaraj is a book written by Mahatma Gandhi. It is the only book that Gandhi wrote in Gujarati and translated himself. Hind Swaraj is registered as a dialogue, with Gandhi himself asking questions as ‘Reader’ and replying as ‘Editor’. It is a Socratic or Platonic work in that sense. He says it is a faithful record of conversations he had with someone in South Africa. Still, it seems evident that this declaration is merely a means of contextualising pre-existing questions and answers. Hind Swaraj is more a booklet than a book and, primarily, is a work of opinion. Gandhi developed the idea of passive resistance quite well, and it was fully formed years before he returned to India in 1915.  He expressed his views on Swaraj, modern civilisation, mechanisation etc. The book was banned in 1910 by the British government in India as a seditious text.
