The colonial laws in India were arbitrary. In an unplanned situation, there is no set of rules or foundation for the choices made. At that time, the legislation was quite random. The two laws that best demonstrate arbitrary British government are the Rowlatt Act of 1919 and the Sedition Act of 1870.
