Detailed Solution

The above statement is true.
Textiles made of cotton and silk were popular in Europe. The most well-liked textiles in terms of craftsmanship and quality were those from India. The Indian fabrics were chintz, cossaes or khassa, bandanas, and jamdani. Since the 1680s, printed cotton fabrics have gained popularity in England and throughout Europe due to their exquisite floral designs, smooth texture, and affordable price. European traders were fond of the fine cotton garments from India that Arab traders in present-day Iraq had brought to Mosul. The Portuguese brought "calico", or cotton textiles, back to Europe. Additionally, a patterned cotton fabric known as "chintz" was requested by Europeans. Indian-made fabrics were used to make the clothing worn by the queen and other rich English people.
