Detailed Solution

The above statement is True.
The Maasai cattle herders live in East Africa. The Maasais have many issues, including the ongoing loss of their grazing areas. Maasailand, before colonialism, covered a sizable territory that spanned from northern Kenya to the steppes of northern Tanzania. The continent of Africa was divided into many colonies in the late nineteenth century as European imperial powers competed for territorial possessions in the continent. An international border between British Kenya and German Tanganyika split Maasailand in half in 1885. The Maasai were then forced into a narrow area in south Kenya, and north Tanzania as the prime grazing fields were gradually taken over for European settlement. About 60% of the Maasai's pre-colonial territories were lost. They were restricted to dry terrain with erratic rains and deplorable pastures.
