In the Federalism of India, three levels of government strengthen democracy. There is a division of power between state and central government and local level government. After independence, the power was divided between the central and state only, but later the local government got constitutional status by the Constitution of India. These governments are free to work in their provided area. And no government can dominate or interfere in each other's work.
